"Thank You!"

Dear Swedesboro Resident:

It has been a great pleasure to visit with you over the past month as we’ve made our case for your vote on November 8th.  Many of you invited us into your homes to talk about what you think is going right in Swedesboro and also where you think we can improve as a town.  The overwhelming feedback we’ve received is that you are proud of our town and the positive accomplishments we’ve made together.  Working Together, much has been achieved.  Three consecutive years of Lower Municipal Taxes.  The Opening of our New State of the Art Library and our entire town receiving the “Library Champion Award”.  The rebuilding of  Turner and Mayhew Avenues including Sidewalks and Curbs and a town-wide property re-evaluation that resulted in LOWER overall property taxes for over 75% of our residents.  It’s a great time to live in the Borough of Swedesboro and we believe the Best is Yet to Come.

We have kept our promise to run a 100% Positive campaign focused on our Track Record and our Vision for the future.  It is unfortunate that our challengers have put out some blatantly false information and tried to take credit for accomplishments that they had absolutely no involvement with, but we’re very confident that you know what the facts are.  We’re proud of how we have conducted ourselves during this campaign.

Finally, it’s a natural reaction to think about voting for someone you’ve known for a long time and maybe even went to High School with.  However, we are hoping that you have heard the old saying "Friends are Friends, but Business is Business".  Our Town needs to be run like any other business with a $2.5 million budget.  These are very challenging times financially and we need serious, objective and innovative people on our Council.  We have the real world business expertise along with the experience of running the Borough to do the best job managing your hard earned tax dollars - and we have a proven record of putting those hard earned dollars back in your wallet where they belong!  Therefore on Tuesday, November 8th please vote for the candidates that you think are best suited to run "Your Business" that we call the Borough of Swedesboro.

We are asking for your Vote on Tuesday, November 8th so we can work together to continue the Positive Momentum and Energy in Swedesboro.  Please Vote for FROMM, FLAHERTY and LENTINI.

Thank you for your continued support,

Tom Fromm                                      Dave Flaherty                          Marco Lentini

"Vote for Fromm for Mayor & Lentini and Flaherty for Council"

Dear Swedesboro Voter:

As your Mayor for the past 8 years, I have based every decision I make solely on what is best for Swedesboro and Swedesboro only.  Your support has helped us achieve many initiatives that benefit all of our residents and the result is a sense of pride in our town that is truly spectacular.  I believe Swedesboro is better off today than it was in 2003 when I became Mayor and our great town is definitely on the right track for future success.  If you agree, I am asking that you allow me and my team to finish the job that we started.  Please vote for Tom Fromm, Dave Flaherty and Marco Lentini on November 8th.

My team’s positive campaign is based on a documented track record of lowering taxes, improving services and efficiently running the town.  Facts are a beautiful thing because they speak for themselves and can’t be disputed, and when it comes to the progress we’ve experienced in Swedesboro the facts speak loud and clear.  I believe the only reason a candidate puts out false information or is negative about their opponent is because they have nothing positive to offer themselves.  So we only focus on convincing you that our candidates are the best choice for Swedesboro and that’s why I am really proud and excited to have Marco Lentini and Dave Flaherty as my running mates this year.

Marco Lentini and his wife Paola chose to move to Swedesboro over four years ago because they fell in love with our town during their search for a great place to raise their young family.  They tell the story of walking from one end of town to the other, seeing all that our town has to offer, and deciding that this was the place they wanted to be.  They could have chosen any town, but they picked Swedesboro, and I am glad they did.  Marco is a University of Pennsylvania Wharton School graduate, a successful entrepreneur and business owner who has been named as one of the “Top Twenty Under Forty” business people in all of South Jersey.  Marco brings a skill set to Borough Council that will be a valuable resource as we continue to look for innovative ways to efficiently manage our tax dollars.  Marco and Paola and their three beautiful children plan to be a part of the Swedesboro community for a long time and I urge you to support Marco Lentini on Election Day.

Dave Flaherty is a great guy who is dedicated to doing what is right for all of Swedesboro.  Dave and his wife Lorraine, like Helen and I, have had the good fortune to raise three children in Swedesboro.  The small town atmosphere and sense of community our families experienced has been instrumental in our children growing up to be well rounded, solid young adults.  Dave is a Temple University graduate who has been by my side making the smart, tough decisions as we brought our town back from the brink of bankruptcy in 2003 to one of the most financially sound towns in New Jersey today.  Dave was the strongest and most persistent advocate for the Library Expansion (other than Marge of course), and I think it’s safe to say the project would not have happened without Dave.  In every decision he has been a part of, Dave has never put politics before the town, and if you know him you know he never will.  Please support Dave Flaherty for Council on November 8th.

This November’s election is about choosing smart, qualified people who will work hard to make sure that everything we have accomplished over the last eight years is sustainable going forward.  It is critical to elect candidates who have their own vision, integrity and positive attitude to continue the momentum in Swedesboro.  It is also critical that candidates ask you for your vision of our town’s future and talk about all the great things we can achieve if we all work together.  We can’t go backwards, and we’ll accomplish even more if we have a team with a positive, “can do” attitude.  Please vote for continued Progress in Swedesboro.

I love serving as your Mayor and I am very proud of what we have accomplished together as a town.  I am by no means perfect and have made my share of mistakes, but I try to get better every day, learn from my screw-ups and always keep my focus entirely on what is right for Swedesboro.  My team has always practiced the “Politics of Inclusion, Not Division”.  This is the guiding principle of how I have led over the last eight years and how I’ll lead for the next four years if I am re-elected.  Dave Flaherty and Marco Lentini share this philosophy and my passion for Swedesboro.  We are willing to work hard to keep Swedesboro a great place to live and raise a family.  Please vote for Fromm, Flaherty and Lentini on November 8th.

"Taking Care of Our Community"

October 21, 2011

Dear Spring Ridge Resident:

I am reaching out to you as a candidate for Borough Council and as your neighbor. While Swedesboro has seen many positive changes such as a pedestrian friendly downtown, a new state of the art library and the establishment of shared services, I believe Swedesboro’s vibrant rebirth has only just begun.  I wish to continue my life-long commitment to community service as Borough Council member.

As an entrepreneur, I have created a successful family owned and operated restaurant business with five locations employing hundreds of people over the past ten years.  As Borough Council member, I will apply those same prudent business principles to revitalize our downtown and continue to provide efficient services to our residents while finding synergies to reduce our fiscal burden.

While we all moved to Swedesboro from different areas, we all share the same desire to see a stabilization of our housing values, lower taxes and a continued improvement of our town.  It is precisely because we all have made such significant investments in Swedesboro, that I believe it is imperative for a Spring Ridge resident to be part of borough council.  I would like to be that representative and also ask that you support my Democratic team and re-elect Tom Fromm for Mayor and Dave Flaherty for Borough Council.

I look forward to being your neighbor and hopefully serving as your Borough Council representative.  My wife Paola and our three children (Luca, Alessia, and Melina) love being part of this community.  It is a great joy to see so many new children in our community and it will be equally as important for our children to have the recreational opportunities and sporting activities they need which is one of our initiatives for the coming year.  We need you to vote on November 8th, as this election will be crucial for continuing the progress of Swedesboro!  Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Marco Lentini

"Creating Progress We Can All See"

September 2011

Dear Swedesboro Voter:

Swedesboro has undergone a revitalization that has made us the envy of towns throughout southern New Jersey.  This ranges from our downtown through to our new Spring Ridge community.  While much has been accomplished, we believe Swedesboro’s vibrant rebirth has only just begun.   In order to continue our record of lower taxes, efficient public services, and a continued revitalization of our historic downtown, please vote for Dave Flaherty and Marco Lentini for Borough Council.

As former Borough Council President and long time resident of Swedesboro, Dave Flaherty brings a wealth of experience establishing shared services with neighboring townships and a focus on cost reduction and service improvement.  Dave Flaherty was instrumental in the Swedesboro library expansion, and as Parks and Recreation liaison he understands the importance of these town amenities.  Dave has been married to Lorraine for 32 years and has three children: Katharine, Todd, and Brendan.

Marco Lentini brings an entrepreneurial energy and a success in business which has seen his family business grow to over 50 employees.  Marco is a strong supporter of a downtown revitalization and new business expansion, which in turn will continue to decrease the tax burden of our residents.  Marco Lentini wishes to continue his life-long commitment to community service as Borough Council member. Marco has been married to Paola for 5 years and has three children: Luca, Alessia, and their newborn Melina.

This election is about the future of Swedesboro, and the direction we all want it to go in.  Dave Flaherty and Marco Lentini will bring positive energy and a willingness to work hard for you if elected.  We need you to vote as this election will be crucial for continuing the progress of Swedesboro!  Please vote for Flaherty and Lentini for Borough Council on November 8th, in order to keep Swedesboro a great place to live and raise a family.
